Aspiri chosen to improve Global PMO Status Reporting Effectiveness

Aspiri Consulting was chosen over eight competing bidders to improve the effectiveness of project status reporting for the Duty Free division of one the world's leading international tobacco companies. The client was not only impressed with our experience in building and managing PMOs but also leveraging effective change management to enhance user adoption. Resistance to and a saturation of change within the organization are major concerns for this particular client.

CLIENT SITUATION: As the company is shifting to smoke-free products it is transforming its operating model to a project-based organization, one that is more agile with increased speed-to-market and better at tracking & monitoring performance. The client originally requested the creation of 15-20 standardized status reporting templates across five work streams. Aspiri expanded the scope beyond the physical status reports to cover the act of status reporting to holistically address the excessive preparation time, marathon status meetings (~6 hours), and the lack of effective updates and decision making.

THREE-STEP APPROACH: Our approach is designed to leverage internal best practices where possible and industry leading practice where possible to maximize both status reporting/ meeting effectiveness and user adoption. In collaboration with client staff, we will 1) conduct a quick but thorough assessment, 2) design and build the improvements in reporting structure, processes, and tools, and 3) stay on to implement the holistic solution.

We are honored the global Duty Free Operations group put their trust in Aspiri Consulting to maximize their program's status reporting effectiveness. If you find yourself in a similar situation, we would love to speak to you about driving your successful transformation to better program and project governance.
