As an opportunity to demonstrate the power of Aspiri Consulting's approach to process mapping, we completed a quick diagnostic of the outbound wire transfer process for a $10B regional bank. The wire transfer process has been a challenge to banks of all sizes as they work to balance speed, accuracy, customer experience and risk mitigation. Our approach allows our team and the client to quickly assess the current state and uncover several meaningful improvement opportunities in a matter of days.
We used our proprietary 4x3x3 approach of process mapping to the 4th level of detail (the activity level), presented in a 3-part layout (map, narrative, opportunities), conducted over 3 working sessions. We have found this approach and layout to be effective both at the executive and processor levels of the organization. It is useful for diagnostic, communication and education purposes. The final product covered the 7 major steps and 179 actions with 22 tactical and practical recommendations for immediate action.
